How our team is structured
A personal injury case does not stay in one place. It starts as an insurance claim, and it may end as a lawsuit in front of a jury. Those two phases call for different work, and our team is organized around that difference. When you look at the names above, the titles are not decoration — they tell you who handles your case and when.
The pre-litigation team
Most cases begin here. Our pre-litigation attorneys handle the phase before a lawsuit is filed: gathering the police report, collecting medical records and bills, identifying every insurance policy that might apply, and dealing with the adjusters so you do not have to. This is also the phase where the deadlines that can end a case quietly get tracked, including the two-year limit under California Code of Civil Procedure section 335.1 and the far shorter six-month deadline that applies when a public entity is involved.
Alongside the attorneys, a pre-litigation department manager keeps the paperwork and medical record requests moving. That matters more than it sounds: a claim usually stalls because a record request went unanswered, not because of anything dramatic.
The litigation team
When an insurer will not make a reasonable offer, the case moves to our senior litigation attorneys, who file the lawsuit and take it through discovery, depositions, motions, mediation, and trial if it goes that far. Associate attorneys work alongside them on discovery, research, and case preparation.
This hand-off is one of the questions worth asking any firm you are considering: who actually files the lawsuit if the insurance company says no? At our firm the answer is a litigation attorney who does that work regularly, not the same person who opened your file.
Support staff and disbursements
Our legal support team includes a disbursements department manager and a law clerk. Disbursements is the part of a case clients rarely hear about until the end, and it is worth understanding: when your case resolves, medical liens, provider balances, and case costs all have to be reconciled before you receive your share. Having someone whose job is that reconciliation is what keeps the final number accurate and the closing process from dragging on.
What you can expect from us
You will be told who is handling your case and how to reach them. You will get a straight answer about the strengths and the weaknesses of your claim, including the parts you may not want to hear, because a decision about a settlement offer is only as good as the information behind it. And you will not be asked to pay anything up front — we work on a contingency fee, which means our fee comes out of the recovery, and if there is no recovery, there is no fee. The specific percentage and how case costs are handled are set out in writing before you sign anything.
We also handle cases in Spanish. If you or a family member would rather discuss the case in Spanish, our página en español has the same information, and we can arrange for the conversation to happen in Spanish from the first call.
Where we practice
Our office serves clients throughout Los Angeles County and across California, and we also handle matters in Las Vegas, Nevada. If you are not sure whether we can take a case in your area, the shortest path to an answer is to call and ask. There is no charge for that conversation and no obligation afterward.
Talk to someone on our team
If you were hurt in a serious accident, a member of our team can review what happened, explain which deadlines apply to your situation, and tell you honestly whether we think you have a claim worth pursuing. That review is free. If we are not the right firm for your case, we will say so.
