Meet Our Team / Daniel D. Geoulla
Founding Partner
Daniel D. Geoulla is a co-founder and partner of B&D Law Group, APLC in Los Angeles. His practice focuses on insurance bad faith and open policy cases, and he leads the firm’s appellate practice.
Daniel co-founded B&D Law Group and is one of the firm’s partners. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in April 2008.
His work centers on insurance bad faith and open policy cases. An open policy case can arise when an insurance company turns down a reasonable chance to settle an injury claim within its policyholder’s limits. When that happens, the insurer may be responsible for more than the policy limit. Daniel also oversees litigation management at the firm, guiding how cases move through the courts.
Daniel has appeared on Bakersfield television, on 23ABC and on KGET 17’s Studio 17 Live, to talk about personal injury claims and how to choose a lawyer. Several of these segments are sponsored content presented by B&D Law Group, as marked below.
Daniel leads B&D’s appellate practice. With Babak Kheiri, he represented the injured plaintiff on appeal in Kaney v. Custance (2022) 74 Cal.App.5th 201, a published premises liability decision.
The Court of Appeal reversed the trial court’s judgment against the plaintiff. It held that circumstantial evidence can be enough to show what caused a fall, even when the injured person does not remember the fall itself.
Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome. Every case is different, and the result in any case depends on its specific facts and the law that applies to it.
